Ishmael Privacy Policy

The Ishmael app does not collect or transmit any identifiable information. There are no accounts, advertising, or tracking.
Book progress, history, favorites, and imported books are stored locally on your device. The developers of Ishmael have no access to this information.
Purchases are made through Apple’s App Store In-App Purchases. Apple handles your payment details and the developers of Ishmael have no access to this information (or ability to give refunds). Purchases are not tied to any Ishmael account (which don’t exist). Ishmael checks what you’ve bought on your device through Apple’s StoreKit; nothing about your purchases leaves the device.
The Ishmael website is hosted by Cloudflare. The site sets no cookies and keeps no visitor records; Cloudflare sees IP addresses in its standard logs. Cloudflare is also used for asset hosting for the Ishmael app. If you sign up on the website, we store your email address and the date, and use it only for occasional announcements. It will never be shared or sold. To be removed from our email list, contact us at the email below.
Assets in Ishmael credit and link to different sources, such as Wikimedia Commons, museums, or educational organizations. These have their own independent privacy policies, and we have no responsibility or liability for their content or activities.
